Elena J Miranda

Growing up in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, I was captivated by the magic of film from a young age. I knew and understood that these works were accomplished by a team of passionate people working together and I desperately wished to be apart of that. My journey officially began in 2019, when I started earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy.

It was during college that I found and fell into Script Supervision, a role that quickly became my calling. I love seeing the tangible results of a hard day’s work, and at the end of each day during production, there are documents made by my hand that resemble that. Pages and pages that will supersede me in post-production, a blueprint of the entire project. These pages, though unseen by the audience, are a testament to my dedication and attention to detail. That, to me, is magic.

Editing,  too, has always been close to my heart. Like many of my peers, I had a phase in middle school of chopping clips together in hopes of being the next vlogger. That early fascination blossomed into a deep love for the craft. The power a single cut had on the transforming the entire story never ceases to amaze me. That you could give five people the same raw footage and there was a good chance you would come out with five different and unique pieces of art.
